The
Frabill net seen on this show
was model 8430 32"x41" PowerCatch Landing Net (Tangle-free weighted –
48” deep). The large mesh size (2”) and hoop size make this the
right net for tuna. It is also good for big striped bass and cod. The
8435 is also a good choice; it is the same net, but 60” deep. This mesh
has less water resistance than the tangle-free knotless mesh.
Another choice would be model 8425 32"x41" PowerCatch Landing Net
(Tangle-free knotless – 42” deep). The large heavy mesh size (1
3/4”) and hoop size make this a good net for tuna. It is also good for
big striped bass and cod. More durable than the 8430, the extra water
resistance can make it tougher to handle.
