Capt Andy and Rich hooked up with the legendary Capt Jimmy George of the Nicole Marie (631-831-3217).  Capt Jimmy has caught more 50lb+ stripers than nearly everyone else.  He created the revolutionary Secret Spoon and spent the day teaching Capt Andy and Capt Rich how to use the spoons to target trophy stripers.  Despite the fact that no one was catching fish in Montauk at the time, the spoons still produced a bunch of monster bass including one fish just under 50lbs. The raging current made the net choice especially critical.  A Frabill Powercatch net with it's extendable handle was used and ensured that none of the fish were lost at boat-side.  This is a a great net that stores easily and all you have to do is slide, lock and load and it is ready to go!
The boat used was a 2895CC Triton powered by twin 250hp Mercury Verados.  This boat is the real deal.
