| Capt Andy and Rich paid a late June
visit to Vineyard Sound, MA to fish with Capt Gary Corsetti for some
monster fluke. Gary is a respected and extremely successful
tournament angler and put the hosts on a pile of trophy fluke to over
10lbs
in 50-90ft of water. He targets these fish using light tackle and
bucktails and some expert boat handling. The techniques and tackle in this show
can be used by anyone who dares to use light tackle for fluke in deep water!
If you have questions about any of the equipment used during the show,
please contact us
or send us a message. |

| The outfit used consisted of a
Shimano
Calcutta 400S reel on a 7' H fast action Compre
casting rod rated for 12-30lb test line.
This combination is perfect for this type of fishing. It was sensitive
to feel even the lightest of pickups, yet had enough beef to
handle the current and the big fish. |

| All the tackle used on
Northeast Angling is stored in
Ameripack tackle
systems. The Backpack Tackle system is used to get the tackle to
the fish! All the rods and reels are transported using the Rod
Pods and the Reel Locker. They insure that everything makes it to
the shoot in perfect condition. Their versatile Fly Boxes are also
used for bucktails and rigs. |

| These big fish and the windy
conditions made the net choice especially
critical. A
Frabill
Powercatch net with it's extendable handle was used and ensured that
none of the fish were lost at boat-side. This is a a great net that stores easily and all
you have to do is slide, lock and
load and it is ready to go! |

| The boat was launched at
Tripps Marina
(508-636-4058) in Westport Point, MA. This facility has a full
service marina that has slips that can accommodate boats up
to 65ft. They have moorings available for boats up to 45ft. It has
electric, 20ton haul-out, fuel (gas/diesel), pump out, ship
store, laundry, heads, showers and many other amenities. There are
also repair facilities for power and sail boats and they sell and
service both inboard and outboard engines. |

|
| Accommodations were provided by the
New Bedford
Days Inn (508-997-1231). This hotel was only minutes away from
the fishing and had all the amenities that one would expect of a Days Inn including conference facilities
and an indoor pool. They also have a guest laundry facility open
24 hours a day and full banquet and meeting spaces available that can
accommodate from 2 to 380 people. |
