| The Northeast Angling season opened with a May 17 visit
to Barnegat Bay, NJ with
Captain Terry Sullivan. Terry has extensive knowledge of New
Jersey waters from Barnegat Inlet to Sandy Hook. Terry proved how
sharp he really is when he put Capt Andy and Rich on weakfish to over 10lbs.
The evening bite was amazing as weakfish, striped bass, and bluefish crashed
bait all around the boat. If you have questions about any of the
equipment used during the show, please contact us
or send us a message. |

| The outfit used consisted of a
Shimano
Sahara
2500FB reel on a 6'6"' MH fast action Compre spinning rod rated for 8-17lb test line.
This combination is perfect for this type of fishing. It was sensitive
to feel even the lightest of pickups, yet had enough beef to
handle the current and the big fish. |

|
| All the tackle used on
Northeast Angling is stored in
Ameripack tackle
systems. The Backpack Tackle system is used to get the tackle to
the fish! All the rods and reels are transported using the Rod
Pods and the Reel Locker. They insure that everything makes it to
the shoot in perfect condition. Their versatile Fly Boxes are also
used for bucktails and rigs. |

| The raging current made the net choice especially
critical. A
Frabill
Powercatch net with it's extendable handle was used and ensured that
none of the fish were lost at boat-side. This is a a great net that stores easily and all
you have to do is slide, lock and
load and it is ready to go! |

| The boat was launched at the scenic
Southwinds Harbor Marina in Forked River, NJ. This facility
has a full service marina with 160 slips that can accommodate boats up
to 55ft. It has a pool, ramp, fuel (gas/diesel), pump out, ship
store, laundry and many other amenities. The marina is only
footsteps away from the
Southwinds Grille where the Captains and crew had a great dinner.

| Accommodations were provided by the
Holiday Inn Toms River (732-244-4000 ). This hotel was only
minutes away from the fishing and had all the amenities that one would
expect of a Holiday Inn including conference facilities, pool,
restaurant and lounge |
