The May 12 visit to Hartford, Connecticut was quite an eye opener!  Andy and Rich thought that their guest, Jordan Paullo, had built up this bite to the point where there was no way it would ever match their expectations.  They were wrong!  Even before they arrived at the spot, birds were seen working over the teen size bass blowing herring and alewives right out of the water.  They had an overcast sky and the bite continued throughout the day.  Nearly all of the action was on surface plugs and the strikes were incredible with fish up to 20lbs.  If you have questions about any of the equipment used during the show, please contact us or  send us a message

Accommodations were provided by the Sheraton East Hartford (860-528-9703).  This hotel was only minutes away from the fishing and had all the amenities that one would expect of a Sheraton.  Special thanks go out to the folks at Manhasset Bay Marina for the hauling and preparation of the boat.  It is a 285 slip full service marina capable of handling boats up to 110ft.  Complete with waterside cocktails and exquisite dining at the beautiful and scenic La Motta's Restaurant.
Andy, Rich and their guest were wearing polarized sunglasses supplied by Azores Eyewear.  Finally someone has come out with a premium sunglass line at a reasonable price (less than $80).  The polarized lenses eliminate glare and allows anglers to spend long hours on the water without having to worry about headaches and eyestrain.  All models have 100% UVA and UVB protection.  Never settle for anything else.  No angler should be without these glasses.
Even though we lipped many of the fish, we still broke out the net on the bigger fish and any fish that looked like they had a face full of hooks waiting to find their way into our hands.  We used our Frabill Powercatch net which is always our choice for the big ones.  A great net that stores easily and all we have to do is slide, lock and load and it is ready to go!
