| The August 5 visit to historic MontaukPoint, Long Island was quite successful. Andy and Rich's guest, Capt. Joel Lizza
of the Sea Otter
Fleet,
put them on a pile of big Porgies off of Gardiners Island. Calm seas
and excellent conditions really turned the fish on. The action was
incredible the entire time and only slowed when the chum ran low.
Numerous double headers and two pound Porgies illustrate what a great
fishery this has become. All of the fish were
caught anchored at depths under 25 feet. If
you have questions about any of the equipment used during the show, please contact us
or send us a message.

The terminal tackle consisted of two 2/0
Mustad
beak
baitholder hooks on a 4-foot long 50lb test Fluorocarbon
leader. The hooks were tied directly onto 3-inch dropper loops.
The first loop was 6 inches above the sinker and the second loop was 24
inches above the first. The leader is attached to a main line of 30lb
braid using a 130lb test
SPRO swivel. The hooks were baited with strips of clam belly. If you would like to buy any of the tackle displayed on this

| Andy and Joel were wearing
polarized sunglasses supplied by
Azores Eyewear.
Finally someone has come out with a premium sunglass line at a reasonable
price (less than $80). The polarized lenses eliminate glare and allows
anglers to spend long hours on the water without having to worry about
headaches and eyestrain. All models have 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Never settle for anything else. No angler should be without these
glasses. |
